Cycling for solar: Carleton student, alumnus biking across Canada for charity

April 26, 2019

By Sydney Hildebrandt

On May 12th, 2019, Cam and Sam set off on the journey of a lifetime. The two of them are currently cycling from Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia, all the way across Canada to Tofino, British Columbia. Over the course of a summer, and 7000 kilometres, their goal is to taste the salt of both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Both of them are environmentally conscious individuals and this trip stemmed from their interests to not only travel the world, but to also travel the world as sustainably as possible.

All that being said, they are raising money for the Honnold Foundation throughout the duration of the trip. Founded by the renowned climber Alex Honnold, the purpose of the foundation is to provide grants and awards to organizations making advancements in solar energy. Both Cam and Sam find this to be in line with our beliefs and would like to invite you to support us and the foundation by clicking the button below to donate.
